RAPE CASE: Mason Greenwood court hearing update

MANCHESTER United forward, Mason Greenwood, has seen his bail extended following a court hearing yesterday, Thursday, the 23rd of June 2022.

The 20 years old was arrested by the Great Manchester Police on the 30th of January over suspicion of rape, assault and making threats to kill.

The hearing that was held yesterday was to discuss over the footballer's bail position.

The statement said: "Following a hearing on Thursday 23 June 2022, a 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of rape, assault and making threats to kill on Sunday 30 January 2022 remains on bail.

"As the outcome of bail reviews does not impact the progression of investigations, Greater Manchester Police will not be providing any further updates in relation to this case until the suspect is charged or released facing no further action."

Greenwood has been suspended from Manchester United and has not played for the club since the Premier League fixture against West Ham on 22 January also is partnership with Nike has ended.
