HEAD Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Jose Peseiro has confirmed that the Super Eagles are ready for their next opponent, Angola, at the ongoing 2023 AFCON tournament.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria won the Round of 16 tie against Cameroon, 2-0, to move to the quarterfinals, where they will play Angola, who won 3-0 against Namibia in the Round of 16 to enter the quarterfinals.
Jose Peseiro, speaking to reporters, noted that the Super Eagles have completed training and are ready for Angola.
“We are looking forward to the game against Angola. Everyone has rested well after the game against Cameroon,” Peseiro told reporters after the training session.
“We have a few days left before the game, so we will be ready. We will prepare very well and I’m optimistic we will get a good result. We will take it game by game. Our target remains the same,” he added.
The Super Eagles would be open to get closer to their fourth AFCON title but would need to take down Angola on Friday to move to the Semifinals.
