SUPER Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen will not be part of the international friendly competition against Ghana and Mali coming up later this month.

The lethal 25-year-old Napoli striker was named on the bench in a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan on Saturday but didn’t feature in the game at San Siro.

It was revealed after the game by Manager Francesco Calzona that Osimhen had picked up an injury, and that it was caused by an inflammation of the scar from an old injury.

This prompted Napoli to not list the player in the list of players going for international duty as he is yet to recover from injury and any form of training or match could make the situation worse.

With Osimhen out, Nottingham Forest forward, Taiwo Awoniyi is also doubtful due to fitness concerns while Tyrone Ebuehi and Gabriel Osho have already been ruled out of the friendlies due to injury.
