STRIKER Victor Osimhen has revealed that his most important goal in his career is to win the Africa Cup of Nations trophy with the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The Super Eagles began their AFCON23 pursuit with a draw against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday and now face a tougher opponent on Thursday when they play Ivory Coast.
Osimhen, who helped Napoli win the Italian league last season, believes he can help the Eagles secure the AFCON23 trophy and achieve his long-time dream of lifting the trophy in his career.
“It would be one of the best moments of my life,” Osimhen stated, according to Channels TV.
“I have done that (win a title) with Napoli. I have made history, but no matter what I do, to be able to win the AFCON, I would go a long way in my life, but probably when I do that, I am done," he noted.
The game between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Elephants of Ivory Coast is set to be one of the biggest fixtures at AFCON23 as Osimhen is expected to play a crucial role in the game.
