Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has ruled out any signing for January even though they are short on players due to injury and coronavirus.

Manchester City has been playing without a proper 9 with the likes of Sergio Aguero out on injury and Gabriel Jesus self-isolating after testing positive to COVID-19.

Pep in an interview with belNsport said: "We will not sign any deal during the winter transfer market. We did not discuss this, but we will end the season with the players that we have now.”

In previous matches without a 9, Pep used Raheem Sterling or Kelvin de Bruyne as a false 9 or deployed Ferran Torres as a makeshift striker.

This has worked for Man City so far as they currently sit 2nd on the Premier League table after five successive wins.
