NIGERIA men's football team interim manager, Augustine Eguavoen, has hinted that Victor Moses could be called out of retirement to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the World Cup.

The interim manager told the audience in a press conference of his wish to have the winger, who can also play as a right back back, in the squad noting Moses could add value to the team.

“We have spoken, but he’s not part of this game(World Cup Qualifier against Ghana) but hopefully as time goes on because we want the best. Whether we like it or not, I think Victor Moses will bring some value. But right now he’s playing in that region (Russia), so that one is settled,” Eguavoen said.

With this said, it is confirmed that Victor Moses will not be available for the World Cup Qualifiers fixture against Ghana, but should Nigeria successfully qualify for the World Cup, it could be possible to have Moses in the squad list for the World Cup.

This is not the first time a former player has been called out of retirement as Odion Ighalo was also called out of retirement before the AFCON competition in January.
