LIVERPOOL and Egypt forward, Mohammed Salah has his eyes set on winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations with his national team when the tournament starts on January 13, 2024.

The tricky winger who scored a brace and provided an assist in Liverpool's 4-2 win against Newcastle United yesterday will be excused by the club to go and represent his nation at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Ivory Coast.

“Going to AFCON? I want to win it! I love playing for my country. Without me, they will be fine. We have fantastic players.”
