ARSENAL forward, Gabriel Martinelli has been on fine form since the beginning of the season, with the Brazilian scoring five goals and providing two assists in 14 league games for Arsenal.

The splendid performance of the 21-year-old did not go unnoticed as he was listed in the 26-man squad to represent Brazil at the World Cup in Qatar, this being his first senior call-up.

Martinelli would be going to the World Cup, alongside Liverpool shot-stopper, Alisson Becker, whom he acknowledges as a good player that he struggles to beat one-on-one.

"Yeah, he's so good. When I went to the national team last time, when we played against Japan and South Korea, I remember when we were in training and I came one-on-one with him and it was so difficult, he's so big," he said in an interview with Sky Sports.

Both players met each other in the Premier League, when Arsenal played Liverpool, with Martinelli getting the better of Alisson, as he scored in the 1st minute of the game, leading to a 3-2 victory in favour of Arsenal.
