LIVERPOOL midfielder, Xherdan Shaqiri, has confirmed he wants to leave this summer as Serie A club, Lazio, is interested in signing him.
Shaqriri has only started 18 league matches across three seasons for Liverpool and made just 45 Premier League appearances in total since joining Stoke City in 2018.
"The important thing at this moment in my career is to be able to play regularly, but that hasn't always been the case in the last three seasons...This is why I told Liverpool that I feel ready for a new challenge. They accepted my wish and will seriously consider the offers that will come. They will not stop me." He told Corriere Dello Sports.
The 29 years old has two years left on his contract with Liverpool as he edges closer to leaving the club with the Italian club, Lazio, which has shown interest in signing the Swiss player.
