FOLLOWING a 2-0 loss to Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu yesterday, interim Manager, Frank Lampard, strongly believes that Chelsea can still turn things around when they meet again at Stamford Bridge for the second leg of the competition.

The Blues were outplayed by the men in white, in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, as goals from Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio were enough to guarantee the Los Blanco side an advantage into the second leg.

With Ben Chillwell suspended, Lampard believes things could still work in favour of the Blues when next they meet.

In an interview with BT Sports after the match, he said, “Proud of the ten men. The disappointing thing is you give away a set-piece [goal] from switching off. I don't think with 10 men they carved us open, that was due to the spirit. And I think we had three pretty good chances in the game - Joao [Felix] early, Raheem [Sterling], Mason [Mount] near the end.

"So there's some good things but the result is a reality - but I've just said to the players, 'special things can happen at Stamford Bridge'. They're a good team, but we have to believe."

The Blues, for now, will need to focus all their attention on their Premier League game against a dangerous Brighton team who are in contention for European competition next season.
