32 years old Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo has hand-picked two players he looked up to when they played in the Premier League.

Ighalo, who had a good time in the Premier League playing for Watford and Manchester United, identified legendary Nigerian players Austin Okocha and Nwankwo Kanu as his idol.

“Growing up watching Kanu for Arsenal, Jay-Jay Okocha at Bolton Wanderers, you watch the league and see fellow Nigerians doing well, and it gives you joy and happiness that one day you will be there,” Ighalo told Watford’s official website.

Nwankwo Kanu played for Arsenal between 1999 to 2004 and was part of the squad labelled "The invisible" for going an entire Premier League season without suffering a defeat.

Austin Okocha who was popularly called Jay jay featured in the Premier League for Bolton Wanderers between 2002 to 2006 where he helped the team to the League Cup final in 2004.
