BARCELONA forward, Sergio Aguero could be forced into retirement at Barcelona due to a heart condition that has worsened.

The Argentine, who joined the club during the last transfer window, had suffered breathing issues during the recent La Liga clash with Alaves.

Aguero was then taken to the hospital for precautionary checks, and was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat which led to him being ruled out for three months.

Catalunya Radio's 'El Mati' reports that the condition is now worse.

"The medical resonances and stress tests that he has undergone in recent days are detailing that the heart problem is more serious than it was initially valued," he added.

This could force the former Manchester City striker to retire at Barcelona.
