The player was on a shopping spree with his wife and his 4-year-old child when he was stabbed while pushing his baby stroller at Milan's Milanofiori di Assago shopping centre.

The 29-year-old told Gazzetta Dello Sport: “I was with the baby stroller when I felt unbearable pain in my back. I was lucky because I saw a person die in front of me. I'm fine, on Monday I'll be playing."

The 46-year-old Italian who was responsible for the stabbing that left one person dead and at least five others injured was arrested by the police immediately after the attack.

Despite the player’s positive attitude, he is in doubt about the fixture against Bologna, as he would be undergoing surgery even though his condition is stable.
