MANCHESTER United's Boss, Erik Ten Hag has blamed the penalty handed to Manchester City in the 26th minute for their loss to neighbouring rivals Manchester City.

As expected, the Manchester derby always comes with controversy, as many questioned the lack of consistency by the referees due to a penalty awarded to City after Rodri was deemed to have been fouled during a corner-kick routine.

“I think, first half, we played very well. The game plan was what we wanted, and defended very good, closing spaces and keeping them away from the goal.

“There was one big save from Andre, but we had opportunities from two or three big breaks. We need to take benefit from it. We have to take more. The penalty changes the game. I don't have a comment on it," Ten Hag said, per the BBC.

United have now lost five and won five of their Premier League games this season, putting them in eighth place with 15 points, while the Ctyzens are placed third, having won eight games and losing two, amassing 24 points in total.
