SPACEX Founder and South African Billionaire, Elon Musk has tweeted on his supposed interest to buy the Premier League club, Manchester United.
The popular businessman had indicated his interest to buy the club which he has supported from childhood from it’s original owners, the Glazer family, who are now on the bad books of United supporters.
He tweeted: "Also, I'm buying Manchester United ur welcome."
Musk had caused what must have been a sign of hope for United supporters, but the joy was short-lived as the Tesla boss went ahead to clarify the tweet when a supporter asked him if he was serious.
He replied via tweet "No, this is a long-running joke on Twitter. I'm not buying any sports team. Although, if it were a team, it would be Man U. They were my fav team as a kid."
United on the other hand are yet to get their footing this season having lost their first two matches this season, and are still in a dilemma on who to sign before the end of the transfer window.
