Despite injury, Mane listed in Senegal's World Cup squad (FULL SQUAD LIST)

SENEGAL Football Federation has listed Sadio Mane in the squad that will be going to the World Cup 2022 in Qatar, despite an injury scare.

The reigning African Footballer of the Year picked up an injury last week during a league game with Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen and was estimated to be out for 3 to 4 weeks.

The list of players listed in the squad are

Goalkeepers: Seny Dieng (Queens Park Rangers), Alfred Gomis (Rennes), and Edouard Mendy (Chelsea).

Defenders: Fode Ballo-Toure (AC Milan), Pape Abdou Cisse (Olympiakos), Abdou Diallo (RB Leipzig), Ismail Jakobs (Monaco), Kalidou Koulibaly (Chelsea), Formose Mendy (Amiens), and Youssouf Sabaly (Real Betis).

Midfielders: Pathe Ciss (Rayo Vallecano), Krepin Diatta (Monaco), Idrissa Gana Gueye (Everton), Pape Gueye (Marseille), Cheikhou Kouyate (Nottingham Forest), Mamadou Loum Ndiaye (Reading), Nampalys Mendy (Leicester City), Moustapha Name (Pafos), and Pape Matar Sarr (Tottenham Hotspur).

Forwards: Boulaye Dia (Salernitana), Famara Diedhiou (Alanyaspor), Bamba Dieng (Marseille), Nicolas Jackson (Villarreal), Sadio Mane (Bayern Munich), Iliman Ndiaye (Sheffield United), and Ismailia Sarr (Watford).
