GERMAN club, Bayern Munich has sacked Julian Nagelsmann and appointed former Chelsea and Paris Saint-German boss, Thomas Tuchel as Manager, effective immediately.
Bayern's decision to sack Nagelsmann came as a shock, going by the fact that the team is still in the Champions League, and just one point behind table leaders, Dortmund.
Many saw no reason behind the sack of Nagelsmann, who is now a target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tuchel was immediately contacted to take over the team, as they begin a new phase to accomplishing the objectives set by the club and its board.
“The timing was surprising, I didn't expect it, and there was no contact beforehand.
"I assumed that I would continue my career abroad. The first interview was on Tuesday evening. The size of the challenge was the deciding factor that I wanted to do it. Things went very quickly this time, it's a top solution for me," Tuchel said on his appointment.
Thomas Tuchel's first game in charge will be against his former club, Dortmund, as a win will take them back to the top of the table.
