ARSENAL will be without captain Pierre Emerick Aubameyang for their first game of the season against Brentford.

A report claimed that the 32-year-old Gabon international will miss the game due to an illness.

Aubameyang had the worst season in 10 years last season, scoring 15 goals in 39 appearances for the club last season.

With Aubameyang out for the fixture against newly-promoted Brentford tonight as they look to begin the season campaign, Head Coach, Mikel Arteta, would be left to choose a proper replacement for the forward who has been mainly deployed as a left-winger.

Bukayo Saka, Smith Rowe, and Gabriel Martinelli appear as the available options.
