MIDFIELDER Matteo Guendouzi, is set to sign a permanent deal with French club Marseille after various loan move from Arsenal.

The 21-year-old player joined Arsenal in 2018 for a fee around £8Million, and under Unai Emery became a regular player.

After the dismissal of Emery, and the appointment of Mikel Arteta, the player faced a rocky session and was excluded from the squad after a post-match altercation with Neal Maupay of Brighton which he taunted Brighton's players about his superior wages.

He was, however, sent on loan to Hertha Berlin, but failed to impress the club, and was again sent on loan to Marseille where he was able to redeem himself playing 26 league games with 8 assists and 3 goals.

It appears the Frenchman has found his place in Marseille and will now join the club permanently for a deal that will keep him committed till 2025.
