FORMER Chelsea forward, Tammy Abraham, has again been linked to Arsenal after he snubbed the club last season and opted for Italian club, Roma.

The 24 years old England international left Chelsea after 17 years with the club having joined as a child in 2004, he moved to Serie A big boys' Roma under the persuasion of Jose Mourinho ignoring an opportunity to remain in England amidst interest from london rival Arsenal.

Speaking to The Athletic,  Abraham explained why he picked moving to Italy other than playing for Arsenal. He said:

“Yeah, I had a few. The Arsenal one got out and there were other clubs as well, but it’s never black and white and just speaking to Mourinho and Roma and the sporting director. They had an ambition and an aim.

"They wanted the club to reach certain targets, they hadn’t won a trophy for a while, and they hadn’t done as well in the league as they would have wanted.”

It appears Arsenal has again shown interest for the Roma forward who has since gone on to score 24 goals for Roma this season, including eight in the Europa Conference League, making him the competition's top scorer.
