1.    CBN REASSURES NIGERIANS OF SAFETY OF BANK DEPOSITS

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has reassured Nigerians of the safety of their deposits and the banking system’s resilience. CBN Acting Director of Corporate Communications Department, Mrs Hakama Sidi-Ali has urged the public to continue their regular banking activities without fear, dismissing any false reports regarding the health of specific Deposit Money Banks.

2.  AKINSANYA PRAISES SANWO-OLU AS LASG HANDS OVER 270 HOUSING UNITS TO HOUSE OWNERS IN EGAN9795
The Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has praised the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, as the Lagos State Government handed over 270 housing units (Cluster 1) to house owners in Egan, adding that the project commissioning will add to the economic, social, and political value of the council area. The project, according to the State Government, was conceived to provide decent accommodation for sub-urban dwellers.

3.  FG TO IMPORT RICE PADDY AND MAIZE SEEDS TO REDUCE INFLATION9785
The Federal Government of Nigeria is currently looking at plans to approve, through an Executive Order, the importation of paddy rice to millers to stem the growing tide of food inflation across the country. The document recommended to the President, a slew of Executive Orders to boost the effectiveness of the ASAP across different segments reflecting the current economic problems bedevilling the country.

4.  POLICE TO ESTABLISH FULL DRONE SYSTEM TO AID SECURITY

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has said that the Nigeria Police Force will soon establish a full drone system to tackle the nation’s security challenges adequately. Egbetokun said that although the Force already had a drone, it would now establish a full drone system to capture everywhere in Nigeria from its headquarters in Abuja.
