THE swearing-in ceremony of councillors- elect of the Mosan-Okunola LCDA was, yesterday, conducted by the Council's Legal Officer, Mrs Mary Amidu, at the Council Secretariat.
The swearing-in was witnessed by the Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Princess Olabisi Adebajo and her vice, Hon. Dayo Osinowo aka Papa Di, alongside other dignitaries and party members.
During the ceremony, the clerk of the Council, Mrs Yemisi Omogbare also conducted the election of principal officers of the legislative council, with Hon. Olasunkanmi Adefioye representing Federal ward (A) emerging as Leader of the legislative Council for a second term.
Hon. Olasunkanmi Adekola representing Gowon Ward (B) emerged as Deputy Leader, Hon. Folashade Ayeni representing Abesan 2 Ward (E) emerged as the Majority Leader, while Hon. Adeboju Ezekiel representing Abesan 1 Ward (D) became the Chief Whip, Hon. Afoke Olabode representing Okunola Ward (C) as Member.
Present at the event were Mosan Okunola APC Caretaker Committee Chair, Prophetess Rebecca Onasanya, party chieftains, Alhaji Yisa Yusuf Ajiboye, (YY), Barr. Rotimi Ogunwunyi, Alhaji Ogboye, Alhaji Wahidi Orire, Hon Osigbodu, Council Manager, Prince Adeeso Adedoyin, Secretary to the Council, Ayo Orimolade, Council Treasurer, Mrs. Kafilat Onigbanjo, traditional rulers, religious leaders, the youth council, and well wishers.
