Lagos to rehabilitate Abesan Fire Service Station

LAGOS State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the rehabilitation of Abesan Fire Service headquarters and 13 other stations in the State.

Speaking yesterday at a meeting with Heads of Fire Stations and contractors, the General Manager, Lagos State Infrastructure and Assets Management Agency, LASIAMA, Ms. Adenike Adekanbi, noted that the rehabilitation of Fire Stations is a critical step toward strengthening the Lagos State Fire Service, pointing out that the Governor endorsed the renovation project for completion within four months.

She said, “If the objective of ensuring the safety of lives and property in urban and rural areas is to be achieved, a complete overhaul of Fire Service Stations is necessary to boost morale of officers”.

The 13 Fire Service Stations listed for rehabilitation include Mobolaji Johnson Fire Station, Agege Fire Station, Ikorodu Fire Station, Sari-Iganmu Mini Fire Station, Lekki Phase I and II Fire Stations, Ojo Fire Station, Abesan Fire Station, Ejigbo Fire Station, among others.
