A deceased church founder in Mosan-Okunola area of Alimosho has been given a befitting funeral yesterday.

Late Evangelist Arise Ukpong, who passed away in June 2020, but could not be buried that month because of the COVID-19 restrictions, has been finally laid to rest.

Evangelist Ukpong, aged 75, was a great role model to many people in her environment. Born in 1945 to the family of Pastor Robert Uduak Nko, the late evangelist has influenced the women, men and children of Mosan and her presence on Jezza Street, where her church is situated, has been very worthwhile.

AlimoshoToday visited the church, Praise Power  Evangelistic Ministries on 3 Jezza Street and had a short interview with her son, Pastor Samuel Ukpong, who revealed that his mother was not only a woman with a  heart of gold to him, but also to a great number of people. "She has touched lives and that's why you can see the crowd despite the rain and restrictions," he said.

She is survived by five male children, and grandchildren.
