BRT buses started operations in Abesan area of Alimosho Local Government, Lagos State, on Monday.
The buses, which are four in number, is an initiative of the Abesan Estate Residential Association (AERA).
For a start, the BRT buses are to ply Abesan to Ikeja and every commuter is expected to have a cowry card to be able to gain entry into the bus.
The cowry cards come in two forms, temporary and permanent, and will be funded at entry.
The president of AERA equally monitored activities at the BRT pick-up point this morning.
In a similar development, residents of the Estate have lauded the executives of the association for coming up with such initiative, which they said would ease transportation hurdles for them.
