Abisco doles out cash palliative, distributes official vehicles, graduates Adire participants

THE Executive Chairman of the Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. (Princess) Olabisi Adebajo, in a bid to reaffirm her commitment to unity, progress, and service on Monday, December 11, 2023, doled out cash palliative to about 100 widows and widowers as a step in strengthening the local community and ensuring that no one is left behind.

While speaking during the cash distribution, Adebajo said: "You have been the stronghold of our community, and we recognise the invaluable contributions you have made and continue to make. Your strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit inspire us all. 

“We want you to know that you have a dedicated group of individuals standing with you, ready to assist you in any way possible." 6905

Meanwhile, Hon. Adebajo, in revelling in the achievement of this administration’s milestone, recognised the accomplishments of over 100 participants who have completed the one-week Adire Skill Enhancement and Empowerment Training.

The initiative, which is rooted in the belief that skill development is a catalyst for personal and communal growth, has empowered individuals to become artisans, entrepreneurs, and contributors to the local economy and to celebrate not just their acquired skills but the spirit of resilience and determination that defines the community.

The Council Boss, in the same vein, presented brand new official cars to political office holders in the council area to appreciate their dedication, hard work, and selfless service to the local council and to recognise their tireless efforts, which bring about positive progress to the community and serve as a tool for even greater service to Mosan-Okunola and the people.6906

"As we celebrate these milestones today, let us reaffirm our commitment to unity, progress, and service. Together, we will continue to build a local government that is a beacon of development, empowerment, and inclusivity. 

"I extend my gratitude to all who have contributed to realising these projects and initiatives. Let us continue to work hand in hand, inspired by the belief that the future of Mosan-Okunola LCDA is bright and filled with endless possibilities," Adebajo noted.6908

Also, the management team led by the council-manager, Fola Hamzat (Mrs), the Union members led by Comrade Alhaji, and the non-pensionable staff of the Mosan-Okunola LCDA presented gifts and awards to the Executive Chairman in commemoration of her birthday. 

Awards were also presented to the Best Performing Departmental Staff by the Executive Chairman to round up the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) Week. 6907

Hon. Adebajo appreciated everyone present and declared that the journey of progress and empowerment would continue and be filled with kindness and solidarity.

Others present at the ceremony include the pioneer Executive Chairman of Mosan-Okunola LCDA, Hon. Abel Badejo, Alh. Yisa Yusuf, Engr. Balaja, Baba Owner, Hon. Jinadu, and Evangelist Kupoluyi, among other political leaders, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and CDC Executives.
