THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde has welcomed the residents of the council area to the New Year 2023, adding that the new year offers new hope and fresh opportunities for the community.
In his New Year message, Akinsanya said; “From the ashes of 2022, I see hope for Igando-Ikotun in the New Year 2023. Allah promises us hope in times of despair, strength in times of weakness, and recovery after tragedies. Our Maker also promised that He will never forsake us in times of trouble.
“The last year has been challenging, but with your patience, support, and positive criticism, we have begun to display the positive outlook on innovation and inclusion we promised during our campaign.
“I have been lifted by the support and love shown to me and my administration by well-meaning people and I am encouraged to redouble efforts to deliver the Igando-Ikotun of our dreams.
“We, however, need the continued support of our people through regular payment of their levies, revenue, and strict adherence to their civic responsibilities.
“I felicitate with my good people of Igando-Ikotun for making it 2023. Let us all give Almighty Allah all the glory for His mercies and loving-kindness.”
He then advocated support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) party candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
“I want you to vote for All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across Lagos State and our National Leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the next President of Nigeria.
“We must dedicate ourselves to building a more peaceful and cohesive society with justice and equity for all our people and neighbours.
“Once again, I wish you a happy and prosperous new year. I wish you a happier, safer, more peaceful and prosperous 2023,” he stated.
