AS Alimosho people and indeed Lagosians go out for their daily activities, it is not out of place to take some time out to commit your day to God's hands!

Among other things we have to put up with, road users must be more careful now than ever. The truth is this; whether you are walking on the road, or standing by the side of the road, nowhere appears to be safe as our drivers seem to have cast all sense of road sanity to the wind.

In 2022, Alimosho LGA recorded the highest number of road accidents in Lagos State.

However, in 2023, these accidents seem to have taken a new dimension, as over seven persons have lost their lives.

Just yesterday, one person died at the Idowu-Egba junction in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA when an SUV driver lost control, skidded across the median and rammed into incoming vehicles, including two commercial buses and a tricycle.

Dear drivers, exercise caution as you go about your business. We cannot continue to lose our loved ones because of your negligence.

LASTMA and other Agencies of Government should also ensure vehicles that go beyond a certain speed range be impounded and drivers fined to serve as a deterrent to others.
