THE Lagos State Government, through the Lagos State Public Works Corporation, earlier this week, started and completed maintenance work on failed portions of the Isheri-Igando road after Alimosho General Hospital in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of Alimosho LGA.

The rehabilitation work, which was done using asphalt premix, was necessitated by the portholes littered along that stretch of road, which causes vehicles to swerve to avoid them.

The Lagos State Public Works Corporation is saddled with the responsibility of rehabilitating and maintaining roads in the state.

The Agency is also guided by a mission to constantly maintain all road networks in the state, such that they remain motorable all year round, using up-to-date technology manned by a well-motivated and highly skilled human capital with a high premium on quality.

In recent times, the Agency has modified its process of carrying out repairs to include three major methods, which are: asphalt premix (as used in this road in Alimosho), interlocking paving stones, as well, as lean concrete.

These processes help to apply the most suitable remedy to road maintenance needs and sustain a non-stop approach to making roads motorable all the time.
