THE much-awaited Jimoh Ajao Cup final would hold on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the AJ football field, Onifade Street, Igando, in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of Alimosho LGA.
The final match would be played at 3 pm between SGH Football Academy and T&T Football Stars.
To reach the final stage, SGH hammered Team Molik 4-1, while T&T thrashed Team Deputy 5-1 in the second semi-final stage played recently.
The Chairman of the Organising Committee, Arowosafe Adeshina described the tournament as a tough one and commended the participating teams for abiding by the rules and regulations.
He explained further that the organisers have put necessary things in place to stage a colourful closing ceremony and warned the troublemakers to desist from vices that can ruin the tourney.
“We are working round the clock to ensure that we organise a hitch-free closing ceremony. We have also put security measures in place to avoid any soccer violence during and after the game.
“It is going to be an exciting final because the two finalists are better teams in this competition so the final would be a tough one and I wish both teams all the best in their outing,” he said.
