THE Ijegun Joint CDA in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA has celebrated the Year 2023 end-of-year party with week-long activities and a closing party.
During the closing party held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Joy and Glory Event Centre in Ijegun, the Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya, presented a Special Merit Award on behalf of the Ijegun Joint CDA to Supro Oyedele, the former DPO of Isheri-Oshun Divisional Police Station.
He also presented the Golden Trophy on behalf of the Joint CDA to the winner of the football competition, Olorunsogo CDA Chairman, Chief T. Oduntan.
On his part, the Igando-Ikotun Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Pastor Ojo Samuel, commended the leadership of the Joint CDA for setting a good example. He observed that activities of this kind will encourage love and foster unity in the community and are worthy of emulation.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Pastor Alfred Seun, extended a special gratitude to the Executive Chairman of Igando-Ikotun LCDA and the Executive Vice-Chairman, Hon. Mojisola Badmus.
Dignitaries present at the event include the Councillor representing Ijegun Ward, Hon. Olatunji Sulaimon, HRM Oba Nureni Alani Akinremi, Ilufemiloye 1, Onijegun of Ijegun Kingdom, who was represented by Chief Ganiyu Sikiru, the Baba Oja of Ijegun Land, and the APC Apex leadership body, represented at the event by Mr Olayiwola Moshood.
Others include the immediate past Councillor of Ijegun Ward, Hon. Adewale Soliu, CDC PRO, Hon Awolowo Olasunkanmi, the Akeweje of Ijegun Land, Chief Muyideen Odofin, with a host of many community stakeholders and political dignitaries.
