Igando-Ikotun NPC Comptroller visits LCDA’s CDC office

THE Igando-Ikotun Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Pastor Ojo Samuel, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, received the LCDA’s National Population Commission (NPC) Comptroller, Mrs Adekolu Olamide, at the CDC office in the council secretariat.

During the visit, the NPC Comptroller intimated to the CDC Chairman that officials of the National Population Commission are all over the seven (7) wards of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA to capture the birth registration of children within the LCDA. 6232

She stated that all children covered would have their information saved on the Commission's database, and no alterations or changes could be made to it, while parents would be issued with printed birth certificates at a future date when it is ready. 

Mrs Adekolu used the medium to inform the CDC Chairman about a programme that the National Population Commission will undertake in November 2023. The programme will discuss Maternal Death (death during child/children's delivery/birth). 6234

 The programme will be held between Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12, 2023, at Divine Choice Ministry, Apa-Ola Street, off Community Road, Ijegun, Brotherhood of the Cross and Stars, Ark of Salvation, Adetoro Famuyiwa Street, Ikotun, and The Planet Hotel and Suite, Atoke Olusanya Street, off Modina Road, Igando. 

On his part, the CDC Chairman promised to synergise and cooperate with the National Population Commission to ensure the success of the proposed programme.
