THE BATCO Mandate Group of the All Progressive Congress (APC) party in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA held its general LGA meeting at the KLM 5, Igando, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in furtherance of the actualization of the election bid of the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The meeting, which was the first of its kind since the party held its presidential primaries, was called to keep members of the party abreast of issues regarding the 2023 general elections and to also reconcile members who are aggrieved over the outcome of the election primaries in the council area.

It should be noted that the BATCO Mandate was the first group to declare support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s goal of becoming the next Nigerian president on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

During the meeting, the APC Apex Leader of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Hon. Jimoh Ajao called on the youth to wake up to their responsibilities and get involved in politics if they want to see positive changes in the country, adding that the future of the nation depends on them.

He then urged all APC members present at the meeting to vote en masse for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

“We should be thinking beyond him being the presidential candidate APC and concentrate on securing victory for him in the actual general election.

“With the additional polling units we have In Igando-Ikotun let us show our strength as politicians. Starting from house to house campaign, it is important for youth, if they desire to change the narratives, to support the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Tinubu and the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State," he reiterated.

The Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Akinsanya Lasisi Ayinde, on his part, said; "Our primary responsibility will be less arduous with a functional nation and a working system. It is in view of this that we have not only considered it a civic responsibility but also a noble cause to support and promote the APC candidates that can best serve the interest of our nation toward realising her dreams; and together, we shall celebrate the victory!”
