College of Nursing, Igando inducts new nurse educators

THE Provost of the Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando, in the Igando-Ikotun LCDA of Alimosho LGA, Mrs Oyefunso Orenuga has charged nurse educators to be disciplined, diligent, and to always cooperate with the other staff members of the College to achieve the goals and objectives of the College.

Orenuga gave the advice in her address at a two-day induction programme organised recently for newly recruited Lecturers and Nurse Educators. She stressed that the College has zero tolerance for indiscipline and that the management will not hesitate to call to order anyone found wanting in the discharge of official duties.

The Provost also informed the staff that the Lagos State Government, under the administration of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is working assiduously to ensure the welfare of the workforce hence, the teaching staff must reciprocate the gesture by showing commitment to duties.

On his part, Mr Hakeem Babasola Olaegbe, a Director with the Ministry of Establishment and Training, who took the participants through the rudiments of the Civil Service Rules, charged them to conduct themselves appropriately and be guided by the Civil Service Rules at all times.

Mrs Sola Yemisi Owolabi, a representative of the Ministry of Justice, while administering the Oath of Secrecy to the new educators, reminded them of the need to be loyal to the State Government by keeping secret all official information that is not meant for the public.

Esther Adetayo, speaking on behalf of the inductees, expressed appreciation to the State Government and Management of the College for allowing them to serve.
