THE All Progressives Congress (APC) party’s House of Representatives candidate in the Alimosho Federal Constituency, Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba (Mayor KK) on Thursday, January 5, 2023, graced the final novelty football match held at the Igando Mini Stadium in honour and commemoration of the 66th birthday celebration of the Igando-Ikotun APC Apex Leader and the Pioneer Chairman of the Council Area, Hon. Jimoh Ajao.
While speaking at the competition, Ayuba said; “Football is a global game that attracts a huge number of people together, most especially the youth. I feel that the football pitch is the right place to celebrate one of our own indigenous political leaders.”
He also preached about unity and love and urged the upcoming players to keep up the good work so that local and international football teams can come scouting for them.
He, alongside some notable dignitaries in the Alimosho Federal Constituency within the progressive fold, then presented a cash prize to the winner of the novelty match.
He also seized the opportunity to remind the people present at the occasion to pick up their voters' cards at their respective wards starting from January 6, 2023, and to cast their votes for all APC candidates across the board at the polls during the forthcoming general elections.
