In the wake of the crisis that has engulfed the party in the local government of late, Councillors in the Alimosho Federal Constituency have paid a solidarity visit to the Lagos State Organizing Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo.

In the wake of the crisis that has engulfed the party in Alimosho of late, Councillors in the Alimosho Federal Constituency have paid a solidarity visit to the Lagos State Organizing Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Alhaji Abdullahi Enilolobo.

Comrade Eniola Badmus Oseni, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, youths in Alimosho Federal Constituency had reportedly formed a movement and appointed Engr. Abiodun Akeem Ariori, popularly known as Oganla of Isheri land, as the chief mobiliser for their change mantra.

Oseni said it was a joyous occasion as the Councillors representing all 36 wards were present at the meeting that held at Enilolobo's home in Idimu.

He said: "The councillors felt there was a need for the visit due to some reported rumours flying around town about cracks in the APC of Alimosho Federal Constituency, by a few disgruntled people claiming control and ownership of the party’s structure."

Oseni said it was an avenue for Alhaji Enilolobo and all the councillors to interact on all that had happened in the past few weeks on this matter and also to remind themselves where they were coming from since the struggle for the democratic system of governance in Alimosho. Oseni said the visit was also designed to review how they have been managing the affairs of the party in the local government, with a bid to keep the people of Alimosho united.

"The councillors used the opportunity of the visit to pledge their unflinching loyalty to the Lagos State APC apex leader, to reaffirm their support for Enilolobo in totality that they all are with him, come rain, come sunshine.

"The councillors are also using this medium to address an article which stated that they were compelled to do this under duress by their leaders to lend their voice on the issue.
