THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comrade Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has been conferred with the Women’s Effect Initiative International African Humanitarian/Shining Star of the Year award in recognition of his developmental strides in the council area.
Information made available for publication by the Media Aide to the Chairman, Comrade Oseni, states that the award was presented to the council boss on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, by the Lagos State Chapter of the Women’s Effect Initiative International, led by the Director-General (DG), Mrs Arewa Abiola A. Funmilayo and other members of the organisation.
While conferring the national award on Comrade Akinsanya, the Director-General, Women’s Effective Initiative International, Mrs Arewa Abiola A. Funmilayo, disclosed that the honour was in recognition of the chairman's zeal, steadfastness, and untiring efforts in ensuring the development of the Igando-Ikotun community.
It should be noted that the Women Effect Initiative International is a non-governmental organization founded in 2018, with branches across the federation. The group was established to campaign for a better home, better society, and a better generation for the citizens of Nigeria, especially women.
