Akinsanya presents working tools to 20 female mechanics

The training was in collaboration with WaterAid International, a Non-Governmental Organisation.

THE Executive Chairman, Igando-Ikotun LCDA, Comr. Lasisi Akinsanya has presented working tools to the 20 selected females across the council area who were trained on water facilities repair.

The three-day training, held at the Council Secretariat, was in collaboration with WaterAid International, a Non-Governmental Organisation.

While congratulating the newly-trained local area mechanics, Akinsanya advised them to improve on the knowledge they acquired during the training period. 

On her part, the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Council, Hon. (Mrs) Mojisola Badmus, encouraged the female mechanics to make good use of the working tools handed over to them.

Appreciating the Executive Chairman on behalf of all newly trained female mechanics, Ms Olajumoke Okedara, thanked the Council Mayor and his team for allowing them to be self-reliant.

Present at the event were the Council-Manager; Mr Babatunde Odeleye, Supervisor for Education; Hon. Isiaka Obabiyi, Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, and Hon. Aina Macaulay.

Others include the Wash Officer, WaterAid International; Mr Godfrey Iloha, Head of Education Department; Mr Olufemi Ogundele, and Head of Tourism Unit; Mrs Ayobami Fatokun.
