CELEBRATING the commitment and dedication to public service, the Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya presented gift cheques and certificates of honours to the Year 2023 retirees of the council at the council secretariat on Thursday, December 14, 2023.
The Chairman, who was represented by the Vice-Chairman, Hon. Mrs Mojisola Badmus, congratulated and thanked the retirees for their diligent service over the years while counselling them to make proper use of their retirement pension.
He prayed for them and charged them not to be sad about their retirement but to see it as a thing of joy, therefore making adequate use of their remaining years of service.
In her keynotes of address, the Admin and HR Officer from the Commission, Mrs Okubule Janet, charged the retirees to invest their retirement money in a lucrative business and not in frivolities.
She advised them to carry out a business feasibility plan before venturing into any business to avoid loss.
She further advised them to make their health of paramount importance, thus visiting the hospital for regular checkups. She lastly appreciated and prayed for them.
The retirees for the Year 2023 and their designation include Bankole Beatrice Folake (Chief Clerical Officer SG), Jaguna Musediku Adelekan (Senior Clerical Officer), Atanda Lukmon Babatunde (Senior Porter), Ajala Babatunde Johnson (Chief Technical Officer), and Odeleye Samsideen Babatunde (Director of Admin and HR).
