THE Executive Chairman of the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area, Snr. Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya has reiterated his commitment to people's welfare.
The council Helmsman made this assurance while distributing about 1,500 packed food palliatives to the people of Igando-Ikotun LCDA as directed by the Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The food palliatives distribution, which was held at the Council Secretariat on Saturday, April 6, 2024, had members of the Executive Committee, management team, Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman, Pastor Ojo Samuel and his Executive members, market leaders, and religious leaders, among other stakeholders in attendance.
Akinsanya, who was represented by the Council’s Executive Vice-Chairman, Hon. Mrs Mojisola Badmus, said the palliatives were given to cushion the effect of the present economic challenges in the Nation, noting that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic policies will bring unending progress and prosperity to the Nation at large. 
Mojisola also appealed to the Council residents to remain calm and maintain the peaceful coexistence already established by Akinsanya's administration.
She said that the food palliatives distributed were additional support from the State Government to complement the Local Government’s N10 million cash and 500 food palliatives distributed a few weeks ago, assuring the residents of more palliatives in the coming weeks.
Mojisola promised that the Akinsanya-led administration would not relent in its efforts to make the residents of the council happy during this period and always.
