AFRICA CUP OF NATIONS: Large turnout at Igando-Ikotun viewing centre

FOLLOWING the Lagos State Government’s installation of football viewing centres across the Lagos metropolis for Lagosians to enjoy the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON 2023, football matches, the Igando-Ikotun Local Council Development Area viewing centre recorded a large turnout of spectators during Monday’s match between Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau, which ended 1-0 in favour of the Super Eagles.8349

In his address before the commencement of the game, the Executive Chairman of the council, Comr. Lasisi Ayinde Akinsanya enjoined football lovers to maintain a high level of decorum during the football matches, which are expected to last till February 2024. 

"This viewing centre is free for all football lovers to watch the ongoing AFCON23, and we have provided enough refreshments to cater for all during the matches," Akinsanya added.8350

He then appreciated the State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for the initiative.
