GRAMMY-nominated artist, Davido has explained why he decided to purchase and add a multi-million-naira frog pendant from Ice Box to his collection.
The Afrobeats artist in an interview revealed that he acquired the pendant to get back at people who trolled him on the social media platform, Twitter, now known as X.
In a recent interview with GQ, the 30 Billion Gang boss said he was often trolled for his hoarse voice, which they referred to as frog voice, so he decided to buy a frog pendant.
Davido said: “I made a frog pendant because my voice is hoarse and they were calling me frog on Twitter. I was like, you know what? I’m going to make a chain out of that sh*t.”
Despite the artist's hoarse voice, Davido has gone ahead to write his name in the book of Nigerian music history as he is recognised as one of Nigeria and Africa's biggest artists.
The successful artist has been nominated for various awards and has won a lot of them. He has performed at the biggest stages, which include the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
