TOP Nigeria music act, Divine Ikubor, aka Rema, has gone far and wide to make Nigeria proud by picking up a Chinese music award at the 2024 Hito Music Award.
Rema’s hit song “Calm Down” remix, which featured American superstar, Selena Gomez won the award for the Best Collaboration of the Year at the 2024 Hito Music Award in the Republic of China.
The award was presented by Hit FM, Taiwan, and hosted by DJ Andy, as Rema makes history by becoming the first African artist to win a Chinese music award.
The 23-year-old now joins a list of top artists from the UK and USA to have gone ahead and won an award in the Republic of China.
American pop star, Taylor Swift was the star of the award ceremony as she went home with over six awards.
