Give me my royalties- Harrysong begs Kcee

The artist, who is no longer a part of the record label has taken to social media to call on the public to beg Kcee to release his royalties, which have been due for seven years.

NIGERIAN singer, Harrison Tare Okiri, who is better known as Harrysong, has called on the public to help him beg his former record label boss, Kcee, to pay him his royalties for his songs.

Harrysong used to be signed to Kcee's record label before things went sour in a controversial way in 2016, which led to the Nigerian police picking him up over an invitation from the state’s Assistant Inspector-General of Police.

The artist, who is no longer a part of the record label has taken to social media to call on the public to beg Kcee to release his royalties, which have been due for seven years. 

“I’m here to beg you all to help me beg Kingsley Okonkwo, known as Kcee to refund my money and release my songs.

“For more than 7 years now, he’s been the one collecting 100% of my royalties from all my big songs, Reggae Blues, Baba for the Girls, Samankwe, Better Pikin, and Ofeshe. It’s not fair.

“At least, he can take his percentage and give me what is rightfully mine. Na beg I dey beg am, I know he likes to bully, he’s the Power Mike, help me beg him, the songs are mine, he should at least be fair to give me what is rightfully mine.

“May God not let us work, and another man just be reaping our hard end sweat in Jesus name,” he wrote.

Harrysong who originates from Delta State released his hit song “Reggae Blues” in 2016 which earned him a Headies award for Best Pop Single in 2017.
