MULTIPLE award-winning act, David Adeleke, who is well known as Davido, has made a charitable donation of N237,000,000 to orphanage homes in Nigeria.

The singer, through the David Adeleke Foundation (DAF), donated over N200 Million naira to 424 orphanage homes in Nigeria as the donation was made by individuals and cooperations in and outside the country.

Speaking through his official Twitter handle, the music icon released a press statement with the caption: “I’ve always wanted to use my platform to serve others. Thankful that through your generosity, I’ve been able to do so. 

“We recently disbursed over N200m to several orphanages in Nigeria, a tradition that started a few years ago around my birthday. Thank you to everyone who donated. With your help, we are changing lives. This is what I mean when I say we rise by lifting others. These are words in action. God bless you all!"

Recall that the artist received a donation of 200 million last year during his birthday after posting his account details online.

The artist, who later revealed that the money would be given to orphanages, has kept his promises as the money has been distributed to the orphanage homes in the federation.
