GRAMMY-winning artist and megastar, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, well known as Burna Boy, has stated he won't want to be referred to as the Big 3 artist in Nigeria.
The Big 3 is more of a slang used to refer to the current three biggest artists in Nigeria, which include Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy.
Burna Boy, addressing fans at an event, stated that he's not a part of a Big 3.
“Anytime they talk about a Big 3, tell them there's a Big 2, and then there's Burna Boy," the 32-year-old said before dropping the mic and walking off the stage.
Many deem the incident as being boastful, but irrespective of that, Burna Boy is no doubt in a league of his own as he became the first artist operating in the Nigerian music industry to win a Grammy award when he won in 2021 for his 2020 album 'Twice As Tall'.
The artist has also picked up nominations in four categories for the 2024 Grammy Awards taking his total career nominations to 10.
