'Anikulapo', 'Gang of Lagos' win big at AMAA

This year's edition sees top Nigerian-rated movies, 'Anikulapo' and 'Gang of Lagos', pick up awards in Best Achievement in Production Design and Best Achievement in Visual Effects, respectively.

THE 19th edition of the highly anticipated Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) was held yesterday, October 29, 2023, in Lagos state Nigeria.

The award ceremony, which was founded by Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, is presented annually to recognise excellence among professionals working in, or non-African professionals who have contributed to, the African film industry.

This year's edition sees top Nigerian-rated movies, Anikulapo and Gang of Lagos, pick up awards in Best Achievement in Production Design and Best Achievement in Visual Effects, respectively.
