A community-focused group, Africa Rise Initiative, based in the Alimosho LGA of Lagos State has now changed its name to Afro Vanguard, while urging the general public to take note of the new name, Afro Vanguard, and address the group with its new name in dealings with the group.
It should be noted that Afro Vanguard (as it is now to be known) is the brain behind 'Okun Alimosho,' a project geared towards deepening and promoting the culture of the Alimosho people.
Okun Alimosho facilitates shows such as the Alimosho Festival, Refresh Alimosho, Alimosho Carol Concert, Media Pro training, Alimosho celebrates Nigeria as well as carrying out people-oriented projects to support indigent people within the Alimosho community.
