The road connects many streets that lead to a major road and this will lighten the burden of traffic congestion on residents and commuters.

Orelope Road, which commercial transporters navigate to boycott congestion and emerge at Karimu Laka, has also been rehabilitated.

Reacting to the work done so far, a resident, Idowu Ismail, said: "They should please not forget Alhaji Idowu Street, Ogunbiyi Avenue, off Akiwowo Street, Lambe Kudaisi Street and Jimoh Akinremi Street, all in Omititun Local Council Development Area,  Alimosho Local Government (Egbeda-Akowonjo), Lagos.

Another observer, Yemisi Alashe, remarked that "it's a good job well done."
