Alimosho residents react as Senator Yayi provides transformers

FOLLOWING the delivery of six 500KVA transformers to the people of Lagos West Senatorial District, Alimosho inclusive, some residents have responded to the new development by asking him to extend the gesture to their communities.

This happened after the lawmaker, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi) announced the delivery of the transformers in addition to the ongoing solar street light project.

He said he was "still on the provision of electricity in addition to ongoing solar street lights across Lagos West.

Yayi said: "Six of 500KVA transformers facilitated by me delivered and ready for installation in areas that needs it in Lagos West."

He then promised that more were still on the way in a tweet of his.

However, residents have taken to his twitter status to react to the delivery of the said transformers.

A twitter user, Mr Adaramaja (with the handle @adaramaja) who is a resident of Council-Idimu in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Alimosho said: "Hello sir, we at Idimu Council Roundabout Alimosho have written so many letters requesting for transformer but nothing came out of it. Our current transformer is old and overloaded. Thus, we only have light 2 days on and 2 days off. Please kindly help us, sir. God bless you".
